Starting the Process

"I didn't miss. I hadn't shot the arrow off when you ran off my prey."



"I am not an idiot."

He laughed. "Whatever you say sweetheart."





"Clearly you are."

She rolled her eyes walking off.


"Nope."

He followed her more. "Why be so difficult?"






"Just go."

"I'm not being difficult I'm trying to hunt. Something you are really trying to stop me from doing. Considering it will be part of my offerings to Thor you think you would be more respectful."



"Why?"

"Fine I wont stop you from hunting. I will just come along." He followed more.





"You are bothering me."

Rika rolled her eyes ignoring him and looked around. She smirked and shot an arrow off taking down a mountain lion. "Oh you will make a pretty pelt." She murmured.



"So why are you hunting?"

"You know, that it could have had a little family right?" He looked at her, smirking on the inside.



"Because its fun to compete and beat my sister at."

She rolled her eyes. "If it does then they are old enough to survive on their own."



"You hold contests against your sister?"

"I'm sure your father would say the same for you." He rolled his eyes. "Heartless to say the least."



"Yes...it that a crime?"

She turned to look at him. "You think I can't survive away from my father?"



"Just interesting. Usually males do it."

"No. I mean that if someone killed your father, I doubt you would want to hear them say what you just did about the lion."




"Now you learned something new. You can go."

'If my father was killed they wouldn't have the chance to say anything."





"No."

"Are you that stubborn not to get the point of what I'm trying to say?"




"Do I have to kill you to get some damn peace?" She put the knife to his throat.

Rika studied the male. "Leave your out of the running for my hand. Goodbye."



He smirked at her. "Hmmm I like how you look like this."

"Out or the running or more that I have already won." He smiled and went closer to her. Walking around her until his chest was pressed against her back. "You feel something between us."



Aesa stared at him. "You are one twisted man." She pressed the blade harder against his skin, cutting him slightly.

"Yes. Disgust." She elbowed him then turned and pulled his own dagger from his belt and pointed it at his crotch.



He chuckled. "Oh sweetheart. You are fiesty. A true Shield Maiden."

He held himself, laughing a little. He felt the dagger touch his crotch but that did not deter him from what he wanted. "If you hurt me now, you want me able to enjoy me later."



"I should tie you to a tree and let the animals attack you. I don't want you."

She rolled her eyes and stabbed him in the thigh hard then ran off.


"Why?"

"Damn it." He groaned and then went after her, fighting through the pain. "Come on Rika, give me a chance please. I'm sure I can make you happy."




"Because you can't just leave me alone."

She ignored him and went back towards the village.



"I like your spirit."

He finally caught up with her and grabbed her arm. "Why don't you want to give me a chance to prove that I'm more than you think?"




"Really?" She beamed at him. "How about this for spirit?" She cut his neck. Not enough to kiss him, but enough to startle and make him bleed lightly. She took off, giving her distance between them.

"Because you pissed me off."



He laughed.

"Then what can I do to right that wrong?"





She made her way back to her room and sat on her bed, rubbing her face. She would not admit, the guy's stubborn ways reminded her of Gardar.
