Meeting Her Future Husband

"So you saying you have to pay them?" He smirked not leaving.

"I don't have to pay anyone." Anna stated. "Leave. I don't need you as my husband." Her pale skin was starting to flush from her anger.

"I don't think I will." He went and took a seat. "Ahh...I can see that temper building in you." He laughed.

Anna closed her eyes and tried to calm down. "Shut it vampire."

"Make me human." He loved the way he was getting to her. She tested his patience and he actually liked it.

Anna shook her head. "Go away. Obviously we aren't a good match."

"Actually, with a little tweaking, you could be okay." He rubbed his chin. "Besides, I know staying is making you more annoyed."

"Tweaking?" Anna asked feeling anger again. "You want to change me?"

"Not really change, just enhance."

Anna glared at him. "Get the hell out now." She was about ready to stake him.

He stood up slowly. "Okay, I will let your father know the wedding is to take place next week."

Anna glared at him. "I will not marry you. I would rather stake you."

"Kinky. But I prefer to be the one staking you." He winked at her and laughed.

Anna went to speak but stopped seeing her father walk in. She fell into a curtsy with her head bowed. "Father."

Vlad Tepes stood and watched as his daughter bowed to him. He then looked at Thomas. "So Thomas here to meet my daughter?"

Thomas nodded. "Yes, we have talked for a while and she is very different than other women I have met." He looked at Anna and smiled.

Anna didn't get up from her position but bit her lip to keep from snapping at Thomas.

Vlad went over to Anna and lifted her head up some. "Well she is different." He helped her up. "You can go back to your tapestry Anna."

Anna nodded and went back to work.

"I would like to fully agree to her hand in marriage. I think she will suit me well."

Anna bit her lip again and worked but stopped when she pierced herself with the needle. "Damn." She muttered.

Vlad turned and lifted her hand. "Not too bad." He was going to wrap it but stopped seeing Thomas's eyes going black. "What?"

He sniffed the air. "Her blood smells sweet." He went over to Anna. "Mine." He said low.

Vlad smiled. "Your mates. That is great."\

Anna stuck her finger in her mouth and shook her head.

He nodded. "Better than great." He stood infront of Anna and nuzzled the top of her head. "How soon can we get married?"

Anna moved away from him with a glare.

Vlad laughed. "Soon as we can get the Elders to agree."

Thomas just moved toward her again. "Don't move away from me pet." He said, gently taking her hand.

Anna glared and pulled her hand away. "I am not your pet."

He glared. "Yes you are mate."
