The Chosen

Demetria sat in study hall looking over a book on vampires and their ruling during the 17th century. She was beyond bored with it, but due to her failing her last test on the same subject, she only had this one chance to retake the exam before being in serious trouble. Girls that refused to learn were tortured and sometimes never seen again. Her best friend Julie disappeared on day and never returned and she hated not knowing. That was 4 years ago.

Besides that, it wasn't horrible the way she grew up. They were allowed to play and hang out with each other outside of classes. It was alot better than other humans she would say. No hard labor though there was the chance that if chosen as a slave, you would have to do hard work.

She didn't have any idea what awaited her future. Dominic, a vampire-demon hybrid had followed her for 6 years, came visit, and gave her gifts. All she ignored. And because of that, he became angry and would have her punished for treating him like such. So with him she was not sure if he would have her as a pet or a slave. Though he was known for not keep each very long.

Dominic walked along the halls smirking slightly to himself. Today was the day he would finally get Demetria. It excited him to know that soon she would be his.

She looked up seeing the study halls door open and Dominic walked in. She groaned as other girls looked at him, drooling. She rolled her eyes at them. They were stuck up bitches anyway. She gathered her book and materials, and moved to go hide in the back of the room. He knew her schedule and where she was suppose to be, but she figured hiding would help.

Dominic sniffed the air smirking some when he smelt Demetria's scent. He started to follow it and chuckled seeing her trying to hide.

"Have you learned you can't hide from me?"

"Haven't you learned that I don't quite like you?"

She stated sarcastically as she continued to look in her book as she sat a back table, she used her long hair to hide her face from him.

"And haven't you learned that your wants and likes aren't important compared to mine?"

Dominic studied her with a small smirk. He loved that she seemed to be wanting to be chased. It made it more fun.

"Oh how silly of me master." She she spat. "Next time I will remember that when I'm burning another one of your gifts."

He chuckled darkly. "Oh my sweet you forget what today is don't you?"

"Oh I know what today is."

She turned to look at him. "The day when another man, who has been looking to have me finally does." It was the truth, an older gentle was in need of a slave. He was close to dying and she figured it would give her the chance to escape. There was always talk about a land where humans were free and she wanted to find it.

"Sorry my sweet but only I will be getting you."

"If it helpz you sleep at night." She got up and put her stuff in her bag.

Dominic chuckled some then went to follow her. He was going to enjoy this alot because he wanted her badly.

"Dont you have someone else to annoy." She walked to her room, preparng to lock him oh t.

"Why would I do that?"

"Because. I dont want you." She unlocked her room door the tried closing it on him.

He stuck his hand out and stopped her from closing it. "You are going to stop this game your playing."

"This isnt a game. I dont want you ."

Dominic chuckled and pulled her close to him. "Trust me I will have you."

She fought to get out his arms.

"Why me? Out of all those other girls...why me?"

"Not sure exactly." Dominic released her then walked off smirking some to go where the picking of the girls would be.

She hated his answer and went to change. The girls had to wear a special whi te dress in the chance they were chosen.

Dominic looked around at the other people and smirked slightly. He knew he would get who he wanted.

The girls lined up and each went stand on the stage as they were offered up to the highest bidder. It finally came to Demetria's turn. She stood as they discribed her as 5ft 3inch female with long brown hair pass her hips. They described her grades and personality.

"Okay if you are interested in Demetria, bidding price starts at 10k."

An old man stoof and bidded for her.

Dominic raised his hand. "Fifteen thousand."

The older gentleman bidded again. "20 thousand."
