Wrong Turn

The sound of a pillow being hit against something, woke Avia Hough from her peaceful sleep. It wasn't until after she opened her eyes fully that she realized that she was the one being hit by such pillow. Groaning she mustered up the strength to pull the covers over her head and yell at the person hitting her.

"So help me God, if you don't stop Anna I am going to kill you." Avia threatened.

Anna was her best friend since childhood. They in fact grew up next door to the other and were a week apart. Thus they had their birthday parties on the same day to celebrate it with the other. They were alike just as much as they were different that went to both personalities as well as appearance. While Avia was more of the goofy one she was also a bit taller, standing at 5'8. Anna on the other hand was more level headed(but had her crazy moments) she was a shrimp at only being 5 foot even. But no matter what they looked like or acted like, they were really close.

And being so close allowed Avia to threaten her friend even more when the pillow hit her again. "I'm planning your funeral now Anna!"

Anna laughed and flashed her friend a smile that was full of dimples her gray eyes dancing with laughter and mischief. "Come on get up. Stop being a stick in the mud."

"A stick in your ass is more like it." Avia sighed letting her blue eyes glance at her friend then the clock. "Anna its only 8am, we aren't suppose to leave for another 3 hours. Let me sleep."

The girls had chose to take a road trip for spring break. At the moment they were at some hotel in Canada. They had planned on driving through the back roads for scenery and pictures to take home to their family and friends.

"Oh come on there are some good sales going on. We can get some good equipment before we head out." Anna said.

She had been browsing magazines and had found some good photography equipment that she wanted to try.

"Uhh!" Avia yelled as she sat up and pushed her long hair from her face. "Next time we are taking separate vacations." She mumbled under her breath as she stood up out of bed and stretched her body.

Anna laughed and ran out of the room locking herself in the bathroom so that she wouldn't get hit again.

Avia banged on the door. "Come out of there I have to pee!"

"Get away from the door and stand by the window and I'll get out of the bathroom." Anna said trying not to laugh.

Avia rolled her eyes and moved away from the door and by the window. "I moved, now come out. Not like you can out run me anyway."

Anna came out. "I know but this gives me a slight head start." Anna went into the closet and closed the door to change.

Avia laughed. "Big baby." She went into the bathroom, closing the door behind her. Avia had been on the track team for highschool and college, so it was easy to chase after her shorter friend. Though Anna did have speed over other people.

Anna laughed and stepped out after she had gotten dressed. "Besides they have a shoe sell going on."

Avia was out the bathroom quickly. "What?! Where?! Where didn't you tell me that before?!" She rambled out questions, not giving her friend time to speak. She dug in the closet for clothes to wear after she showered.

"Same mall that is having the electronics sale." Anna said with a shrug. "I'll go get us some coffee."

Avia nodded and ran to shower, washing her hair as well, using her favorite green tea shampoo. It always smelled great. Once out the shower, she changed into some ripped jeans, that had long sits on the side of her thighs, and a simple black cami shirt. She let her wet, figuring it would just dry curly. She just managed to find her shoes, when Anna came back into the room.

Anna handed her a pastry bag along with a coffee. "So I've been getting a feeling that I've been getting followed."

"It's called your shadow." She opened the bag and took out the donut, biting into the sweet treat.

"No something else." Anna said.

"Like what? We have only been in this town for like 3 days. You think someone is following you?"

"I don't know just something I can't shake off." Anna said with a shrug.

"Well look at it like this. We go buy our equipment....and shoes. Then take a few pics then we are gone. That feeling will go away soon, dont worry. And if there is some creeper watching you, I'll kick him in the nuts for ya."

Anna laughed and drank her coffee. She didn't like feeling uneasy.

Avia looked over and rubbed her arm. "Anna trust me, nothing bad will happen to you."

"I hope not." Anna stated. Avia had always been a protector for Anna.

"Now come on missy, can't let some bitches grab the better shoes." She grabbed her purse and pulled Anna along.
